Labor Day Weekend

Like every year, my mom's side of the family holds a family reunion up in Strawberry, Arizona. Mom & Dad weren't able to come this year, but us kids went and had a great time!!

We took a trip to the local goat farm and had an interesting time learning how to milk the goats. All I can say now is...WOW I am grateful for cows and modern technology!

If you've got a pest problem we've got the solution! With bug catching nets and tweezers Kamee and Jayce were our fearless bug catchers...with a little help from Aunt Hana and Margayle.

Whitney and Kyle trying the "I'm too cool to smile for the camera" pose while waiting for the other boys to go on a ride.

What is a family reunion without feeling like a senior citizen in Mexico? Hana and Justin talked us into playing Mexican dominoes. Not sure where the mexican in mexican dominoes comes from, but we sure had fun playing it!

We managed to snap this shot while our lives were being threatened by javelinas. Even a few wild animals couldn't come between us and a warm gooey s'more. It sure was worth all the trouble!

Our "BEARY" Favorite Grandpa

While Dad was in ICU the grandkids wanted to do something "beary" special for grandpa. We took them to Build-a-Bear so they could each make him a special bear.

All '"bare" bottoms must be clean.

Whitney.... that's sad when Jayce tells you what you need to do. I would say you still need more practice!!!

Nice job ladies!!

Just admiring my work!

What do you do when you're stressed?

JUST ABOUT ANYTHING!!

With 8 hours to spare during dad's surgery we went a little stir crazy. It started with a little game of phase ten, which for the record I WON!
We were not your typical waiting room visitors. They dont bring six backpacks full of food and games and ten blankets. IT WAS FREEZING!!! Oh, and dont forget the two laptops for movies and entertainment.
Dont tell Dad!!!!!!!
Money well spent in the hospital Gift Shop.
Delirium has set in.

Our Miracle Dad

Do you believe in miracles? I DO!! I have witnessed so many over the past few months during dad's stay in the hospital. Dad underwent open heart surgery last month. The surgery was more complicated than anticipated, but dad is now home and doing well. We are grateful to the medical staff that attended to Dad... and also to the Filipino nurses who entertained me during the long hours spent at his bedside! Maraming Salamat sa inyong lahat!!!

Dressin' up

We will take any occasion to dress up and pretend that we are not ourselves! Cardon and Jayce gave us one such opportunity. Margayle had a surprise birthday/costume party for them and Whitney and I went as hippies. We has fun hanging out and dancing with the family! We were sad to have to leave, but grateful to get out our groovy costumes!
