Are you (insert bad word here) kidding me?

This...

Only three weeks after I was stung by a scorpion who found it's way into my towel after a shower. Thank goodness I was stung on my arm (it could have been much worse, if ya know what I mean!)

Oh and did I mention that those are my shorts in this picture and that I found this scorpion within 12 hours of finding another larger scorpion on our kitchen floor? Yeah, it still makes me shiver. I think its about time to change pest control companies, how about you?

Confession and check ups

If you're looking for something salacious and juicy you won't find it here:) REALLY! I have nothing more to confess than to admit that I think I am miles behind the mommy learning curve...and I think I know why...

I never read a single child development or parenting book when I was pregnant...and you can rest assured I haven't read one since Kambrya was born either.

I know, I know...I should probably pick one up now, but I figure that "on the job training" is just as good, right? And besides, I think I have better resources and guidance than any book can provide. Thank you to all the moms I know who are under a constant barrage of questions from me about all things baby. I am sure it is thanks to you and your advice that Kambrya has made it to her 6th month anniversary of her birthday! And well...that means...another visit to the Doctor!

Kambrya is doing great and weighs in at a whopping 19lbs 7 oz. She is in the 96th percentile for both height and weight. Comparing notes with other moms, she is nearly 7 lbs more than a baby we know who was born a week earlier than she was. She is definately a Bunn!

I'm not sure how I feel about this...

I guess it can only be described as one of those things that you can't wait until she can do, but you dread the day it finally happens. And YES, it finally happened! This little miss can now hold her own bottle! While it definately frees up a lot of time to accomplish some desperately needed chores around the house, it also means she is growing up (way too fast!), and I'm not quite sure I like that.

Visitors

We love when grandma comes to visit, especially when we get to introduce her to her newest grandbabies for the first time!
Kambrya...meet Grandma Bunn

...and Aunt Kathy

We had a fun visit, and are anxiously awaiting the next!
While they were here it was important to me to get a 4 generation picture for Kambrya. I really cherish the ones my parents took for me when I was little and I want to do the same thing for her. Only one more grandma to go!

Fresh fruits and veggies

Have you ever been so excited about something you've done, made, bought, or joined that you have to tell everyone you know all about it? Well... that is how I am feeling right now about Bountiful Baskets...it is awesome! All of this....

for only $15.00!!

It is so awesome, in fact, that we just worked up a deal with them to offer it to Knight employees and have it conveniently delivered directly to our workplace. Now everyone else I work with can enjoy it too!

High Flying Baby

I have long been told of Grandpa Johnson's love of small babies. On more than one occasion I have heard that he often entertained the young ones by holding them with one hand high above his head, turned them from side to side, and sang to them.
As I joined the family during a 'Johnson baby drought' I, unfortunately, was never a personal witness to this craziness ...until now!

Whintney is so much like his grandpa:)
